A reply within two business days

  1. A person reads it

Your message goes to the people who scope engagements, not to a sales queue, and it is read in full before anyone replies.

  2. We reply

Within two business days you receive either a few questions or a proposed time for a call. If the work is not something we do, we say so and suggest what kind of adviser to look for.

  3. A scoping conversation

About 45 minutes with an engagement lead, with no fee and no obligation. We ask what prompted the inquiry, who needs the result and which dates matter.

  4. A written proposal

If the work fits, you receive a proposal with scope, deliverables, staffing by role and a fee. Nothing starts until you accept it.

Some details help us prepare

None of these is required. A sentence on each saves a round of questions.

  • What prompted the inquiry

An upcoming audit, a lender or funder request, a board question, a customer questionnaire, or a sense that something is off. If it is only a sense, the free self-check can help you put it into words.
  • Who needs the result

Management, the board, auditors, a funder, a lender, investors or the public. The audience shapes what we deliver and how.
  • Systems and size

Your accounting system, roughly how many people handle finance, and how many entities or bank accounts are involved.
  • Dates that matter

A fiscal year-end, the start of audit fieldwork, a board meeting, a grant report or a closing.
  • Who else is involved

Your auditors, counsel or other advisers, so we can check for conflicts before the first call.
  • If money is moving now

If you suspect a fraudulent payment is in progress, call your bank first and ask about a recall. Then contact us.
  • Hold back sensitive data for now

Please do not send ledger exports, bank statements or personal information in a first message. If we work together, we set up a secure transfer.
